Foodbank

St  Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is now collection point and a voucher distributor for our local Foodbank.

Our Foodbank provides food to people in our community who are in need.  We can deliver food parcels to families at home, or distribute vouchers that can be redeemed by individuals at any local Foodbank Centre, including St Joseph’s Church.
There are a great many reasons why people may need a little help from time to time, and at the Foodbank there are no judgements made or questions asked.

If your feel that you would like the support of the Foodbank at any time, please do come and see Mrs Gum or Mrs Butterfield.

Alterntively if you would like to support the Foodbank with donations, our drop-off point is in the main reception of the school. Here are some ideas for the sorts of foods we collect: cereals, biscuits, dried foods, tinned food, jars, tinned meats, tinned meals, long life milk, pasta, rice, sauces, bottles of juice, tea, coffee, treats for children etc.  We also collect toiletries such as toothpaste, soap, shower gel, nappies, etc

If you have any questions about our Foodbank or would like to become involved with our team, do pop into school and see Mrs Gum, who is our School Foodbank organiser.

If you would like to receive a food parcel or are in need of specific food items, e.g. baby food, etc or if you know of anyone in our local community who is in need, please do come into school and speak to Mrs Gum, Mrs Weaver or Mrs Butterfield.

Food parcels can be distributed within 24 hours.  All matters will be dealt with absolute discretion.
