St Joseph

Let us tell you a little about St Joseph;

St Joseph was married to Mary, the mother of Jesus. The Gospel of Matthew calls him a 'righteous man' who observed God's law.

He was a caring and compassionate man. He took care of Mary and when he was told his family was in danger, he left everything he owned, his friends and family and fled with Mary and baby Jesus.

A prayer to St Joseph

St Joseph, watch over me

and care for me

just as you cared for Jesus;

and by your help, 

may I come to know, 

your Son, 

and so grow in strength and wisdom 

and the favour of God.
