Welcome to Year 2, I have been teaching at St Joseph's for 16 years now. As well as leading Key Stage 1, I am responsible for Mathematics, Assessment and Behaviour, all of which I am very passionate about. Looking at our topics I am positive the upcoming year is going to be filled with lots of laughter and new learning experiences. Outside of school I love reading anything and will happily spend a whole weekend sat on the couch with a steaming cup of hot chocolate and an adventure book. During the holidays I adore travelling around Europe and the United Kingdom, often finding interesting places to take photographs

This is my second year working at St Joseph's and I am looking forward to teaching Year 1. I am excited to share my passion for outdoor learning, dance and art with the children in my class. I am certain that this year will be filled with an abundance of learning opportunities and experiences.

When not in school I am spending time with my husband and being a Mum to two lively children, who love to dance and play football. We enjoy going on holiday and most recently we just got back from America where we saw Black Bears in the Smokey Mountains. I also love to socialise with family and friends and have the occasional shopping trip.

This is my first-year teaching at St Joseph's, and I am very excited to be starting as the Year 1/2 teacher! I have been teaching for two years and half years and I am eager to share my love of geography, science, sport and history with the children. I know that the upcoming year will be filled with fantastic learning experiences and learning opportunities.

Outside of school, I like keeping fit by going to the gym and hiking in the Lake District. I also enjoy traveling with my fiancé as we both love geography and have recently returned from a chilly holiday in Iceland.

Welcome to the Year 1/2 team -

Welcome to Year 1 and 2, where we have lots of exciting topics planned throughout the year. This year our learning will include discovering more about the local area and investigating some historically significant events, which continue to have an impact on our lives today.

A weekly timetable of homework will be set on Teams every Friday. The activities may include Spelling Shed, My Maths and TT Rockstars. Children are expected to read at home with an adult at least twice each week (included in Homework Timetable) and this is to be recorded via the Go Read App. Thankyou for your help and support with your chilld's learning.

As always, we are all here to help and if you have any questions or would like to speak to a member of the teaching team please contact school using the admin email address.
