Year 1 and 2 2022 - 2023
Miss Bennett
Welcome to Year 2, I have been teaching at St Joseph's for 15 years now. As well as leading Key Stage 1 I am responsible for Mathematics, Assessment and Behaviour, all of which I am very passionate about. Looking at our topics I am positive the upcoming year is going to be filled with lots of laughter and new learning experiences. Outside of school I love reading anything and will happily spend a whole weekend sat on the couch with a steaming cup of hot chocolate and an adventure book. During the holidays I adore travelling around Europe and the United Kingdom, often finding interesting places to take photographs

This is my third year of teaching at St. Joseph's. For 9 years I have been a teaching assistant working throughout school. I am responsible for Pupil Premium this year and I am looking forward to the upcoming year and all the exciting experiences that our children will be involved in.
Outside of school I love kayaking on the River Weaver or the River Dee with my dad. I also love to spend time with my family and friends.

This is my first year teaching at St Joseph’s and I’m thrilled to be Year 1/2 teacher.
For the last 4 years I’ve been working as a HLTA and Forest School Leader at Lower Peover Primary School. Previously, I worked in the ARC provision at St Nicholas.
I’m excited be working here and I’m looking forward to the upcoming events and experiences we will have in Year 1/2.
When I’m not in the classroom I love spending time with my two children and husband, going to the theatre, movies or walking. I also love to dance and enjoy teaching Performing Arts.
Welcome to the Year 1/2 team -
Welcome to Year 1 and 2, where we have lots of exciting topics planned throughout the year. This year our learning will include discovering more about the local area and investigating some historically significant people, who have made a difference in our lives.
A weekly timetable of homework will be set on Teams every Friday. The activities may include Spelling Shed, My Maths and TT Rockstars. Children are expected to read at home with an adult at least twice each week (included in Homework Timetable) and this is to be recorded via the Go Read App. Thankyou for your help and support with your chilld's learning.
As always, we are all here to help and if you have any questions or would like to speak to a member of the teaching team please contact school using the admin email address.
