Year 1 and 2 2021 - 2022
Miss Raymond
This is my tenth year teaching at St Joseph's and I feel very excited about continuing as KS1/ EYFS Lead this year. Alongside this role I will continue to lead English and Pupil Premium. Outside school, I enjoy running, playing piano and guitar, playing tennis and reading. I also love to spend time with my family and friends.
Mr Ellam
Hi and welcome to Mr Ellam's class!
I am delighted to be teaching Year 2 again this year. I first joined the St. Joseph's family permanently in January 2019, but I did do some supply teaching here before that!
As well as teaching Year 2, I am also responsible for Computing within school.
Outside of school, I love the outdoors - something that I get to take advantage of, in my role as a Scout leader. I enjoy reading and watching Crewe Alexandra (sometimes!)
Welcome to the Year 1/2 team -
We're looking forward to a busy half term and starting our new topic 'When we will become giants?'. We will be learning all about animals and their offspring and how we change as we get older. We will be learning about what animals need including how to stay healthy and creating our own healthy lunch. The children will study the artwork of Georgia O'Keefe and create their own paintings.
A weekly timetable of homework will be set and glued into children's planners each Monday with an activity on Teams, Spelling Shed, and My Maths or TT Rockstars. Children are expected to read at home with an adult at least twice each week (included in Homework Timetable) and books will be changed twice a week on a Thursday and a Monday. Thankyou for your help and support with your chilld's learning.
As always, we are all here to help and if you have any questions or would like to speak to a member of the teaching team please contact school using the admin email address.
