Resource Provision 2022 - 2023
Mrs Burkey
It is so good to be back at St Joseph's! I have missed all of the children and families so much.
I am excited this year to open our new Resource Provision which will allow use to support children with a diagnosis of autism within our school.
I live with my husband Andrew, 2 children Megan and Connor (who are all grown up!) and our noisy cat Gigi. At the weekends I love to hike and go on long walks. I am currently training for the 2023 Sahara Trek for St Luke's Hospice in Winsford which is a charity close to my heart.
Mrs Barton
I'm happy to say, myself and my family have had strong connections with St Joseph's for a very long time! Both of my children attended St Joseph's and also my two granddaughters.
I've worked here for 16 years and I'm very excited to embark on our resourced provision journey.
Welcome to Resource Provision!
Resource Provsion caters for children from Reception to Year 6 who have a diagnosis of autism and an EHCP with St Joseph's named. We are an 8 place Resource with spaces which we expect to fill fast!
We have a beautiful room which is well resourced and staffed by myself andf Mrs Barton. We are both very experienced in working with autstic children across the primary and Early Years phases.
In resource our curriculum is tailored to the needs of the individual child and consists of a combination of National curriculum and specialised input drawing on the Autism Education Trust standards. Our timetable is split bewtween mainstream and Resource based on the individual needs of each child. Children join their mainstream class for PE and Forest school and other sessions throughout the week.
