Year 5 and 6 2022 - 2023
Miss Raymond
I am excited to be starting my first year teaching in Year 6 having worked at St Joseph’s for a number of years now. I will also be leading Literacy, Gifted and Talented and Music this year and can't wait to get started with Singing Practises!
Outside school I can mostly be found running or walking up hills, reading or spending time with family.
Mrs Di Vito
Hello!
I have been a member of the St.Joseph’s school community for 3 years now and have held different posts, each has been a pleasure and I am constantly learning new skills and applying them to the classroom setting. I am very excited for the opportunity to teach in Year 5/6 this year and I feel I have already developed positive relationships with the children.
In June 2022 I had an amazing opportunity to go to France and equip myself with new skills to teach French in school, I can’t wait to share what I have learnt with Year 5/6. I continue to develop in my role as Assistant PE Lead this year.
When I am not in school I like to spend time with my family and our dog Ted. As a family we enjoy camping, swimming, hiking and cosying up on the sofa to watch a family movie together (with popcorn and chocolate of course!). When I get time to myself I like to read, I particularly enjoy crime thriller books.
Every year, I challenge myself to a Mighty Hike to raise money for Macmillan. I am not sure what my challenge will be this year, maybe I will ask Year 5/6 for their suggestions and put it to a vote!
Miss Taig
I am new to the St Joseph's school family and am a lover of all things learning. This will be my fourth year of teaching in a key stage two classroom, and I am eager to share my passion for history, art, reading and architecture with Year 5.
In my spare time, I enjoy walking, running and starting DIY projects in my new home! I can't wait to see what the new school year brings and look forward to getting to know everyone in the St Joseph's community.
Welcome to Year 5 and 6!
We are all excited about the Spring Term when we will be learning all about South America. The Year 5 and 6 teachers have planned lots of exciting lessons including opportunities to learn outside of the classroom.
The topics that we have planned this year are going to be very exciting and will provide plenty opportunities for us to be creative. For more curriculum information, keep coming back to the website and you can read our posts on Twitter. If you are able to help with any aspect of our learning please speak to the class teacher.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to speak to a member of the Year 5 and 6 team or email the main office.
