Religious Education

Religious Education is at the heart of our school curriculum.

Our mission is to continue the work of the global church in supporting parents in educating their children, so that they grow into responsible adulthood, safe in the knowledge and love of God and neighbour.

Our Religious Education curriculum is rooted in the Diocesan scheme "Vines and Branches" and is enriched with further creativity through diverse cross-curricular links with Outdoor Education, Forest School, Art, English and Philosophy for Children.

Our Religious Education provision is both academically robust and challenging, whilst also being spiritually, morally and culturally enriching and extends into all aspects of our school culture and ethos. Last year, we  enjoyed building our whole school prayer trail, visiting exhibitions of religious art at The Walker Gallery, working with our families on our Nativity Projects, welcoming a range of visitors into school to teach us about our own faith and the faiths of others, planning and leading a wide range of collective worship experiences, and undertaking extensive charity work for the local and wider community. We look forward to many more exciting and enriching experiences this year.

If you would like to find out more about our Religious Education curriculum, please see Mr Dalton, our subject leader.
