Foundation Stage 2018 - 2019

Mrs Burkey

I love working in the Early Years! I have a passion for supporting children's emotional, social, physical and academic development in partnership with their families. I have a bit of a reputation for sending children home mucky and covered in glitter (so I apologise to all of my parents!).

I will be continuing to support the Digital Leaders group. This year they have lots of plans for how to develop our school's Computing so visit the Digital Leaders page to find out more!

Miss Allenden

As a newly qualified teacher, I can’t wait to start my teaching journey! I feel very lucky to be joining the St Joseph’s team and community.

I have always loved working in Foundation Stage and look forward to working alongside parents to give my class a happy year in Reception.

I am very passionate about reading and can’t wait to share all of our favourite stories together. I enjoy making science creative and planning around children’s interests to make exciting and fun learning opportunities - which we will have lots of this year!

Miss Hilditch

Miss Hilditch

I have taught at St Joseph’s for 4 years now and love it! I’ve taught children in KS2 and KS1 and I am really excited to join the EYFS team! I am creative and passionate about children learning. I can’t wait to explore along side the children in our exciting environment. I am the art co-ordinator and also lead the WEP project helping to raise aspirations of children in Windsford. Outside of school you are most likely to find me baking and trying out the latest recipes in the kitchen or going for long walks with my lovely black Labrador Sophie. The first few weeks in Nursery we will be finding out all about each other; who we are and who can help us! Please don’t hesitate to come and see me if there is anything I can help with!

Welcome to the Early Years!

This year we are looking forward to supporting the children's learning through meaningful play experiences.

We are passionate about giving the children meaningful experiences which help them develop understanding in all areas of their development.

This year we hope to go on trips and visits which will provide children with exciting and interesting things to talk about.
