Hello!
This will be my 8th year teaching at St Joseph's after completing a placement as a PGCE student and never wanting to leave! During my time at school I have taught across all key stages and this year will be teaching in Nursery and I am excited to continue to lead the EYFS team!I am also responsible for leading Art and Design in school, the Raising Aspirations work in school and Philosophy for Children!
I am due to qualify soon with a MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy and hope to support children across school with emotional support as well as their educational and spiritual development!
When I am not in school you are most likely to find me walking my lovely black Labrador, Sophie or my new very big and beautiful rescue dog, Athos!

Hello!
This is my 5th year teaching at St Joseph's. I am really excited to be teaching in Reception this year!
I am the Modern Foreign Languages lead and look forward to creating experiences for children to ignite a love for languages across school! This year, I am also Student Council, Pupil Voice and WEP Pupil Forum lead which is very exciting!
When I'm not in school you can usually find me at the gym, on long walks with my family, baking or enjoying a musical theatre show!

I have been teaching across Reception and Key Stage 1 for the past 8 years at a local school. I am extremely excited to be joining the team at St Joseph’s this year; the school has had a very special place in my heart since I completed a PGCE placement here 9 years ago.

I love teaching in reception, but I am also excited to lead Design and Technology across school, as well as “Rights Respecting” which means I am responsible for ensuring that all children across school understand what their rights in education are, as well as making sure they are met. I am also pleased to be the midday mentor.

When I’m not in school, you’ll find me at home with my two boys, Jack (11) and Theo (6). We also have a cat called Skye, and a very excitable dog called Luna!

Hello and welcome to the Early Years!

This year we are looking forward to supporting the children's learning through meaningful play experiences.

We are passionate about giving the children meaningful experiences which help them develop understanding in all areas of their development.

Reception do PE on a THURSDAY so please make sure  Reception children come dressed ready for PE!  Nursery do not need a PE kit at this point!

-----------------

In Reception in the summer term, we will be focussing on two wonderful texts:

Summer 1 - Silly Doggy! A book where a girl finds a dog (?) in her garden. We will write our own retelling of the story, and we will also be looking at the creatures we might find in our gardens, and in our school grounds, so mini beast hunts it is!

Summer 2 - SuperTato! We will learn about where our food comes from, how we can make heathy choices, and will hopefully be able to grow/harvest some of our own crops! We will enjoy lots of lovely outdoor learning with this topic so let's hope we get some nice weather for it.

We are keen to keep you updated so aswell as finding useful documents here, keep an eye on Facebok/Twitter and make sure you are connected to Evidence Me which is our app to keep you updated with your child's learning. Helpful hints can be found here
