This will be my 6th year teaching at St Joseph's after completing a placement as a student and never wanting to leave! Time flies when you are having fun!
During my time at school I have taught across all key stages and this year will be teaching in Reception and leading the Early Years team.
I love working in the Early Years - it is an exciting and fun filled environment which suits my personality.
I am also responsible for leading Art and Design in school and leading the Raising Aspirations project across Winsford.
This year I am also completing my MSc at Keele university.
When I am not in school or University you are most likely to find me in the kitchen baking various cakes and bakes or walking my lovely black Labrador, Sophie.
I am looking forward to this year and can't wait to get to know you all - if I can help with anything please let me know.

Welcome to Reception!

I have always loved working in early years and am currently in my third year of teaching. This year I hope to pass on my love of reading to my class so prepare for some silly stories to come home! I can’t wait to get to know new children and parents and I know there’s an exciting year ahead of us.

As well as teaching Reception, this year I am responsible for PSHCE and our ‘No Outsiders’ project. This is something I am extremely passionate about and I look forward to working with children throughout the school to implement our new programme 'Life to the full'(have a look at our Relationship Education page. Outside of school you’ll find me trying out new recipes in the kitchen, spending time with my three cats or enjoying musical theatre!

This is my 3rd year teaching at St Joseph's. I have taught in year 1 for the past two years, but this year I will be teaching in Nursery. I am really excited to be back in Nursery as I started my St Joseph's journey there after completing my Early Years Degree!

I am the Modern Foreign Languages lead and I am looking forward to the France trip we have planned this year!

When I'm not in school you can usually find me at the gym, on long walks with my family or enjoying a musical theatre show!

Mr Vost

My name is Mr Vost and I teach across the school. This is my third year at St Joseph's and my 17th as a teacher. I have previously worked in Stoke-on-Trent, Wiltshire, Dorset and Somerset. I am really passionate about writing and I love finding new and exciting books to inspire us. I am also training to be a UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador and I am really looking forward to helping everyone at St Joseph's learn more about democracy.

Outside of school, I am a huge sports fan, especially football and I enjoy following the ups and downs of the Arsenal. I love cooking and going on adventures with my family.

St Joseph's is a fantastic school with a special community and I am really looking forward to all of the exciting learning that we are going to experience this year.

Welcome to the Early Years!

This year we are looking forward to supporting the children's learning through meaningful play experiences.

We are passionate about giving the children meaningful experiences which help them develop understanding in all areas of their development.

Our first topic is "Who am I?" - we will be explroing along side the children and learning all about who they are and what they like/dislike. We will look at their names and what they look like, celebrating their birthday, their family and where they live! We will also be looking at what makes them individual and special!

We have lots of exciting activities planned! Please keep an eye on our Facebook and Twitter page for lots of updates and photos.

You might find it useful to watch the following clip to see some answers to questons asked by children! This might help before they start!
