Year 3 and 4 2022 - 2023

Mr Lewis

Mr Lewis

Welcome to Year 4, this is now my fifth year at St Joseph’s and my third time of teaching year 4. I am really looking forward to getting to know all of you as we learn about major moments in history, new mathematical methods and much more.

Prior to starting at St. Joseph’s I taught at a school in Lower Peover where again I was in year 4 for the entire 3 years. As well as teaching Year 4, I am also responsible for our ‘Forest Schools’ and ‘Learning Outside the Classroom Curriculum’ which I am very passionate about. Linking our learning to the outside and the natural world is something which I carry out on a regular basis to further enhance the experience and learning. I am extremely excited about the upcoming year and experiences it may bring with my new class. Outside of school I enjoy bird watching, fishing, Pilates, walking and tending to my allotment.

Miss Whitehead

Miss Whitehead

Welcome to Year 3/4, I am now in my fifth year of teaching at St Joseph’s. I am excited to be moving back to Lower Key Stage 2 and teaching in a mixed class again this year. As well as teaching in KS2, I am also responsible for leading Science and running the Eco Council. I am always looking for creative ideas for both of these responsibilities so please feel free to share your thoughts with me. After talking to Mrs Butterfield, Mr Lewis and Mrs Lloyd about the year ahead I am really looking forward to all of the exciting things we have planned and I can't wait to share these with you!
When I am not in school I spend a lot of time with my family. I also enjoy reading and will often spend my time at home curled up with a good book. When the weather is nice I like going on walks and taking time to appreciate the beautiful scenery we have around us. I am also looking forward to travelling more this year and sharing the stories from my travels with you all.

Mrs Lloyd

Mrs Lloyd

This is my first year teaching at St Joseph’s. I have been working in a school in Chester for the past 14 years across different year groups. I am really excited to join to LKS2 team as Year 3 is my favourite year to teach.

I am the PSHCE lead, RSHE lead and the Global Links lead. I am looking forward to leading and taking part in lots of exciting spotlight days and weeks over the coming year.

When I am not in school I like to spend time with my two children, my husband and our dog, Diego, taking long walks and then having pizza picnics whilst watching a film! I love to read. Over the past few years I have completed several 10k runs and I look forward to completing another one this year.

Mrs Butterfield

Mrs Butterfield

Welcome to our Lower Key Stage 2 Phase. I will be working with Mrs Lloyd, Miss Whitehead and Mr Lewis to plan lots of exciting things over the academic year. We are always here to talk to so if you need anything just let us know!

I have been working at St Joseph’s for 9 years now. During my time at St Joseph’s, I have been lucky enough to teacher in almost every class which has been lots of fun!

As well as working in the Year 3 and 4 team, I am also the Deputy headteacher, SENDCo and RE co-ordinator.

Outside of school, I love going for days out with friends and family, especially in the sunshine! I love being busy exploring new places and going on adventures. I also enjoy going to the gym and baking cakes.

Welcome to Year 3 and 4!

We are all looking forward to the year ahead, we have so many exciting things planned, lots of great trips and some very engaging topics. We know we are all going to have lots of fun and learn a lot along the way.
