Year 5/6 Week beginning 4.3.19

Date: 8th Mar 2019 @ 4:49pm

We have had a very busy second week in Year 5 and 6. We started our week focusing on the importance of Lent and making our very own Lenten promises, which we are going to try our best to keep during this period. On Wednesday, we took part in our Ash Wednesday service, reflecting on the time Jesus spent in the desert and considering what we could do to improve ourselves during our journey through Lent.

We also had our very exciting world book day; all of the children looked amazing! It was lovely to see the effort they had made on their costumes and to see people thinking ‘outside of the box.’ Children have been invited to rehearse a poem, either on their own or with friends, to perform next week in their classes. The class will then vote for a winner and they will get the opportunity to perform in our assembly on Friday. We are looking forward to seeing what the children come up with!

Next week is forest school week and the first visit to Barclays bank is happening on Wednesday.
