School Council Meeting Monday 24th November 2014

Date: 27th Nov 2014 @ 10:23pm

On Monday we discussed lots of your ideas and even had a visit from Ms Bentley who talked to us about what the School Council does to make things better in our school.

Thank you for all your suggestions.

On Wednesday two members of the School Council met with Mr Donald to discuss your suggestions and we got some really positive replies. We can't tell you about all of them - but here is some of the good news!

One of your suggestions was a request for a computer club.  Mr Donald suggested we write to the school staff to ask if anyone would be willing to run a computer club.  We will organise this at our next meeting and will let you know how we get on.

Another suggestion was a dressing up competition.  Mr Donald suggested we run this on World Book Day or on the next 'Friends of St Joseph's' fundraising free dress day.  We will continue to investigate this and give you plenty of notice of the date so you can get your costumes ready.

We have asked Mr Donald if bacon butties can be bought back again at break times.  Sadly it is still not allowed because of the amount of salt bacon has in it.  Hot dinners may contain bacon too (and other foods which contain a lot of salt) and that would mean we have too much salt in one day which is not good for us.  We hope you understand this is to keep us healthy.

Keep sending us your ideas of how to make our school better.

Thank you
