Raising Aspirations Day

Date: 14th Jun 2019 @ 4:20pm

On Friday 14th June, children across school took part in Raising Aspirations Day. Many local companies including ASDA, Brio, the police, the fire brigade and a paramedic visited us. As well as this, some of our school staff completed sessions for the children around an area of their expertise. The children were shocked to learn that Mr Ellam was once a manager of a restaurant.

The children have gained an insight into many different lines of work that they may wish to pursue in the future. They have also learnt about the skills required in order to go into each type of job. Some children had the opportunity to dress up in outfits relating to each of the different jobs within a company.

Children also enjoyed some mindfulness activities throughout the day and were encouraged to take time out of their busy lives to relax and focus on having a healthy mind.

Our School is a family of faith, hope, love, fun and learning for all
