Year 1 and 2 2026 - 2027

Mrs Di Vito

Mrs Di Vito

I have worked at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School for the past seven years and am now in my second year teaching a Year 1/2 class. I am passionate about supporting children’s learning and helping them develop confidence, curiosity and a love of learning. In my personal time, I enjoy reading, hiking and running. This year, I am particularly excited to take on the roles of PE Lead and Forest School Lead, promoting active, engaging and outdoor learning experiences for all pupils across the school.

Ms Prince

I have been teaching for over 10 years and I am really excited to join St Joseph’s as a Year 2 teacher. I am looking forward to getting to know all the children and families. I love making learning fun, creative and enjoyable, and I can’t wait to start our journey together!
Outside of school, I am kept very busy by my two little girls! We spend lots of our time at gymnastics, exploring the park and enjoying family days out. We also love going on holiday and making lots of special memories together.
When I have a little bit of time to myself, I love reading a good book. I’m a big fan of reading and always enjoy discovering a new book!

Ms McNicholas

This is my first year at St Joseph’s, and I’m so excited to join the school community and get to know each and every one of you. I love all things creative and can’t wait to get involved in lots of creative activities and projects throughout the year.
I also really enjoy sport, especially playing netball, and I’m looking forward to getting involved in school sports too. Outside of school, I love spending time with my friends and family, and I especially enjoy taking my dog, AJ, on long walks.
I’m really looking forward to working together as one big team to make St Joseph’s a happy, fun and exciting place to be, where every child feels supported, enjoys their learning and makes superstar progress in all areas of school. I can’t wait to get to know everyone and be part of such a wonderful community!

Welcome to the Year 1/2 team -

Welcome to Year 1 and 2, where we have lots of exciting topics planned throughout the year.

Homework will be set weekly on a Friday. The activities may include Spellings, My Maths and TT Rockstars. Children are expected to read at home with an adult at least twice each week and this is to be recorded in the reading records. Thankyou for your help and support with your chilld's learning.

As always, we are all here to help and if you have any questions or would like to speak to a member of the teaching team please contact school using the admin email address.
