Foundation Stage 2025 - 2026
Miss Howard
Hello!
This is my 8th year teaching at St Joseph's. I am the Early Years Lead and this year, I am back teaching Nursery which I am really excited about.
I love working in the Early Years! Every day is filled with fun, laughter and learning and each day is different. It feels really special to be supporting children during their foundation years and helping to build key skills for a successful future!
Across school, I also lead Modern Foreign Languages and Global Links - I am excited to continue our schools journey on developing a love of languages and cultural experiences across school.
When I am not in school, I can usually be found baking for friends and family, going for long walks or keeping fit in the gym!
Mrs King
I am so excited to be teaching in EYFS again this year and am looking forward to a fun-filled year in Reception! It is such a privilege to be a part of the children’s early school days and I am here to support both the children and their families through this exciting transition. This year I am continuing my NPQSENCO qualification so will be supporting teachers and families with queries and concerns regarding special educational needs within the Early Years. I will also be leading Design and Technology across school again as well as advocating for Children's Rights and continuing our journey as a “Rights Respecting” school. Outside of school I am Mum to two ‘football mad’ boys, so you will often find me standing frozen or soggy at the side of a football pitch, or going for long walks with my lovely dog, Luna. It’s going to be such a busy year and I hope you are all looking forward to it as much as I am!
Mrs Bryan
Hello! My name is Emma Bryan, and I’m proud to be a Reception teacher here at St. Joseph’s. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of each child’s first experience of school, helping them settle in, grow in confidence, and develop a real love for learning.
I have a strong passion for early years education and believe that a warm, supportive and engaging environment is key to helping children thrive. In our Reception classroom, we learn through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences that spark curiosity and build strong foundations for future learning.
One of the most rewarding parts of my role is building positive relationships with children and their families. I am to create a space where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to come to school each day. It’s a joy to watch them grow socially, emotionally, and academically during this important year.
Outside of school, I’m a proud mum to two grown-up daughters, and I share my home with three lovely cats and a very energetic puppy who keeps me on my toes! I love cooking, baking and anything creative.
I’m really looking forward to getting to know you and your child as we begin this exciting year together.
