Resource Provision 2025 - 2026
Mrs Burkey
I am looking forward to another wonderful year at St Joseph's. I am excited to continue teaching in our fantastic Resource Provision and working with our wonderful children and families.
At the weekends I love to hike and go on long walks with my walking group whatever the weather.
Mr Ellam
Hi and welcome to Mr Ellam's class!
I am excited to be teaching in Reception this year. I am beginning my sixth full year as part of the St Joseph's family.
As well as teaching in Reception, I am also responsible for Computing, More-able Learners and Equal Opportunities within school.
Outside of school, I love the outdoors - something that I get to take advantage of, in my role as a Scout leader. I enjoy reading and watching football - I support Crewe Alexandra but I am also a board-member at new club AFC Crewe.
I am looking forward to working in Foundation Stage and seeing where our learning adventures take us.
Welcome to Resource Provision!
Resource Provsion caters for children from Reception to Year 6 who have a diagnosis of autism and an EHCP with St Joseph's named. We are a 10 place setting and are currently over subscribed and currently staffed by 1 experienced teacher and 4 phenomenal Teaching Assistants! As a team we are very experienced in working with autstic children across the primary and Early Years phases.
We have are fortunate to have use of two learning spaces which are well resourced and which enables us to deliver our bespoke curriculum well tailored towards the needs of a broad and varied cohort.
In Resource Provision our curriculum is tailored to the needs of the individual child and consists of a combination of National curriculum and specialised curricula such as AET standards and PIVATs. Our timetable is designed to meet the needs of individual children within our classrooms. Children may join their mainstream class for PE and Forest school and other sessions throughout the week to suit individual needs.
Children within in Resource are always welcomed on mainstream class trips, residentials and a wide range of after school clubs.
