PSHE

In our school we recognise and respond to the needs of each and every child. We work hard to recognise their academic and emotional needs so as to develop the whole child as an individual. We aim to develop happy, fulfilled, well-educated and confident children in a caring, nurturing and fun environment.

We teach PSHE primarily through the PSHE association scheme. However, when appropriate we will introduce PSHE through other subjects such as Religious Education and P4C lessons.

We have based our school’s Sex Education curriculum on the DfEE guidance document Sex and Relationship Education Guidance SRE (ref DfEE 0116/2000) and ‘A journey in Love’ scheme. This is enhanced in Year 5 and 6 through the ‘All that I am’ programme.
